Some babies love medicine, but there are some who refuse or spit it out, making it really difficult for parents. For children of toddler age, some non-liquid alternatives to try are meltaway medications or strips that dissolve on the tongue. If the medicine is only available in liquid form try one of the following:

  • Use a dosing syringe
  • Gently and slowly squeeze the medication into your child’s mouth
  • Try rectal suppositories of fever reducers when needed
