During the H1N1 pandemic, the medical management and the advice we were giving to patients changed daily. Doctors had to closely follow the recommendations as they changed. Our office was filled with patients worried they had “The Swine Flu”. We opened up evening flu shot clinics to administer H1N1 vaccines as efficiently as possible in an effort to protect our patients. Some children under the age of 9 needed 4 flu vaccines to be adequately protected against all of the common flu strains. I spent many Saturday mornings at CBS discussing the most current recommendations.
