Many babies are soothed and comforted by a pacifier. If you are a breastfeeding mom, you’ll want to wait until breastfeeding is well established before giving your baby a pacifier. This is usually around 2-3 weeks of age.
Pacifiers can be used:
- When taking baby for a walk
- For a quiet dinner
- To provide the baby comfort when needed
If your baby drops the pacifier on the ground, the best way to clean it is to gently wipe it down with a baby wipe or using soap and water. Putting it in your mouth is not the best option.
